I, the Sailing Penguin, who loves sailing and penguins, confirm that this blog is a personal blog only, and all content provided, when my spoons allow, is of my own opinion and may not necessarily be accurate – the blog at times can just be the ramblings of a pain filled mind! I therefore make no representations as to the accuracy or completeness of any information on this site or found by following any link on this site.
All information provided on this blog is for informational and entertainment purposes only, also it is to help others realise they are not alone in their world of chronic pain – it helps to read how other people survive, or to just have that penny dropping moment of I am not alone. Please don’t take my chronic pain survival story as a means for you to survive – I cannot guarantee it will work, plus if I were to jump of a cliff to ease my pain would you follow? My intention is to do no harm (to have a bit of fun, get my thoughts out there, and have others read my story – yes) but to do harm a definite no-no. I would like to add that I am not a doctor, lawyer, therapist, dietician or any other type of trained expert. The only expertise I have is in me and what helps me. Therefore what I write is not to be taken as fact nor absolute and you will not be compensated in any way if you suffer a loss, damage, injury or inconvenience because of something I have written or linked to in this blog.
As I will, no doubt, write about medical stuff (after all that is what got me started on my blogging journey) it is my own personal experiences I am writing about, ad hoc research I have done, or links to websites that have helped me. This blog provides general information, sometimes discussion, about medicine, health or related subjects and is not intended, nor should it be construed, as medical advice. If you (the reader) or any other person has a medical concern, then please consult with your GP or other appropriately licensed physician or health care worker – they are, after all, the professionals and will know way more about medical stuff than me and they will also know your background way more than I would. Therefore, with that said, never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have read on this blog or any linked materials, and, as always, if you think you may have a medical emergency then call your doctor or appropriate emergency number.
I would like to convey to you that if I were to accidentally defame, humiliate or hurt someone’s person or feelings as a result of them reading and or acting upon any or all of the information found here on my blog, namely ‘Spoons, Sailing, CRPS and Penguins’, it is entirely unintentional of me to do so. All I want to do is to reach out to others the way that others have reached out to me in their blogs. If you do find insult where none was intended please do not hesitate to contact me, or leave a comment on the individual blog entry, or feel free to close the window and not return.
As for comments left on my individual blog entries please be polite and courteous to both me and others who may have commented – I know my feelings can be easily hurt especially when the pain is off the scale, I cannot comment about how others will feel – what I do know is a good lesson that Thumper the rabbit taught me when I was younger – “if you can’t say something nice, don’t say nothin’ at all”. I reserve the right to delete any comment for any reason whatsoever (mainly abusive, profane, rude, anonymous comments, and spam). I am also not responsible for the contents of blog comments once they have passed moderation. Please don’t comment just to spam your site, however if you are leaving an honest and appropriate comment then please feel free to link to your blog or site – I would love to see it – after all you may be able to help me – whether that be through entertainment, a bit of a laugh, or finding like-minded and inspirational people.
I will not be liable for any errors or omissions in this information – I can hardly remember the day of the week I am on sometimes without remembering everything I need to write.
